I started digging for answers.
My search history that night looked crazy:
“Why is my dog scared of flea spray?”
“Can flea medicine cause shaking?”
“Are natural flea products really safe?”
Then I found something horrifying.
Most flea treatments, collars, sprays, and even shampoos, work by attacking the pest’s nervous system.
But dogs have nervous systems too.
And older dogs, like Max, can’t flush those toxins the way they used to.
Each “treatment” was leaving residue on his bed, his fur, the air he breathed.
I wasn’t helping him.
I was slowly poisoning his world.
