Frank Delgado has been a licensed pest control technician for 22 years, certified in structural rodent exclusion.
He's trained new hires. He's sealed crawl spaces, attics, and pantries in thousands of homes across three counties.
So when mice showed up in his own pantry two winters ago, he wasn't worried. He'd handled this a thousand times.
He set traps. He sealed the obvious gaps. He even used the same peppermint oil treatment he'd recommended to customers for years.
Three weeks later, the droppings were back.
"That's when it hit me," Frank said. "I'd been telling homeowners this stuff works long-term. But in my own house, doing everything right, it didn't."
He started digging into why and what he found didn't match what he'd been trained to believe.
